Back in Uganda

I arrived safely back in Uganda this past Tuesday night. I had a wonderful time at home and was blessed to be able to spend quality time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend - Jonathan. I enjoyed getting to see a lot of people, especially at church, special lunches, and at Meagan's wedding. The wedding was beautiful, by the way, and everything went very smoothly. (The bride looked gorgeous!)

Also, a big thank you to those who donated such nice clothing! I received so much that I could only bring about a sixth of it back with me! The church's missions department will be shipping the rest to me in Uganda. Thanks for your generosity! The kids will love the clothes, especially since most of them have never had anything so nice.

I am settling back into life and the routine here. Next week, I will be in Adjumani from Tuesday to Sunday. We will be helping to organize the office, visiting some of the schools, and taking care of other small problems that need to be addressed. Please continue to pray for safety. As we were driving home today, a car in the opposite lane was hit by someone and skidded within inches of our car. Luckily, they stopped before they hit us and no one was hurt. Also pray that the people I minister to would understand that it is Jesus Christ who can make a difference in their lives. So many of the people see us, the aid workers/missionaries, as being the source of their help. But we want them to realize that we do what we do because of Jesus, and that He is the one who truly changes lives. Pray that I can effectively convey that message.
